I'm a total beginner with dumbbells and I feel that the book and video content are at the right level for me. It starts gently, provides appropriate warnings, etc.However I expected the video to demonstrate the routines described in the text (especially since there are no photos... so you have to use your imagination) but they don't really. Yes there is always a relationship (the video for curls is in the curl chapter) but clearly the text and video were written independently from each other so you get two different perspectives/practices and it's up to you to figure out which one is the most sensible... which, for beginners, I think is more confusing than helpful.
Overall I think it's good value and, as I have written, the routines and explanations are appropriate for beginners.
PS: like every other video book, you need to download this on an iPhone or iPad with the Kindle app. The Kindle device will only read the text but won't play the video.

When I downloaded this to I found out that the video images in the program are not compatible with 's OS. Hence, no video! I don't think that I was intentionally misled into buying something that would not work on but no one went out of their way to announce that would not present the program. I can read all the text, of course, but no video of the movements, not even any still photos. Really glad it was free.
This is a decent workout guide that's full of instructions for basic exercises like biceps curls, triceps extensions, etc.
The book does a good job of giving variations on the exercises in order to increase of decrease the level of difficulty based on the user's individual needs.
However, the book's title is slightly misleading for users because the video content is not supported by . Instead, the captions of the video are transcribed into format and they become the basis of this book. So, if the title of this book has you wondering whether it will play in video format on your , save your money--it's just a normal, no frills book.
